Almost three-quarters of employers believe that bringing in dental plans as employee benefits can enhance the wellbeing of their staff.
A survey completed by Denplan found that 71 per cent of employers polled thought that a dental plan would be a tangible benefit which could be of real use to employees, as it reduces the risk of unexpected costs and saves money.
Several factors influenced the plan which employers chose for their employees, including cost, broker recommendation and simplicity of the product.
The survey also looked into whether or not employees would appreciate having access to a dental plan, and found that more than half of those questioned would see it as a useful workplace benefit. Even more people said they would consider taking on a dental plan if their workplace offered one.
Pensions, childcare vouchers and company cars are the most common employee benefits in the UK, according to HR 180.
